Our loving, caring mother, Carol Joan Greene, aged 80, passed peacefully while recovering from a stroke at Promontory Point Rehabilitation Center in Idaho Falls on November 23rd, 2012.
Carol was born September 7, 1932, in Ephraim, UT, the second child of John Dwain Anderson and Erva Louise Anderson. The Anderson family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where Carol was raised, graduated from East High School, and attended the University of Utah.
Carol spent two years living in Phoenix, Arizona, where she worked as a model and her lovely face graced the pages of the Thunderbird Fashions catalog.
She returned to Salt Lake City, and married Nat E. "Bud" Anderson in 1954. They soon relocated to Idaho Falls, ID, and raised their family of three children. Carol excelled in her career as a legal secretary and executive assistant, eventually retiring from the INEL. She married John K. Greene in 1983, enjoying nearly 30 years of marriage.
Carol was an amazing cook and especially delighted in preparing holiday meals to be shared by family and friends. Her recipes will be cherished and enjoyed for years to come.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Nat E. Anderson, and her eldest child, Kellie Evon Anderson.
She is survived by her husband John K. Greene of Idaho Falls, her sister Connie Jean Nelson of Salt Lake City, brother Frederick Anderson of Cedar City, son Bradley D. Anderson (Joanna) of Idaho Falls, daughter Natalie A. Hilker (Greg) of Salt Lake City and five grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, December 1st, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, Idaho Falls, Idaho.
