Carol Lee Crockett Dickinson, 76, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 23, 2014, at Morningstar Assisted Living Center.
Carol was born July 25, 1937, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Lovene D. Crockett and Margaret Heimberger Crockett. A lifelong resident of Idaho Falls, she attended Idaho Falls schools and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. She also attended Brigham Young University.
On September 6, 1957, she married David Lee Dickinson in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple. Together, they raised a family of four children, Lorna, Scot, Sandra, and Rebecca. Carol worked as a Secretary at Theresa Bunker Elementary School for School District #91. David passed away March 5, 2011.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various capacities over the years. She especially enjoyed working with the Young Women and Special Needs Adult Primary. Grandpa and Grandma took their children and grandchildren to a cabin in Island Park every summer, Disneyland, Disney World, and Cancun. Dave and Carol were able to take a cruise and travel to Fiji together. David and Carol were faithful contributors to the Goodfellow Fund for many years. Carol cared deeply about others and helped many people in her lifetime. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and needlework. She had many loyal friends who visited her and cared for her.
Carol is survived by
Daughter, Lorna (Philip) Jenkins of Idaho Falls, ID,
Son, Scot L. (Marne) Dickinson of Idaho Falls, ID;
Daughter, Rebecca Jackson of Idaho Falls, ID .
11 grandchildren, Blair and Carly Jenkins, Joshua Dickinson, Melissa Calder, and Brandon Dickinson, Nathan (Brittany), Kyler, Brennan, Jeremy, Dylan, and Whitney Jackson; and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, David, a daughter; Sandra Jo Dickinson; a granddaughter, Hailey Jackson; and a brother, Lynn Crockett.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 28, 2014, at the Idaho Falls LDS 31st Ward, 1165 Azalea. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, and from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Morningstar Assisted Living and Hospice of Eastern Idaho for their loving care and compassion.
