Carol Anne Barlow Briggs was born April 12, 1936, in Oak City, Utah, to Roy Jesse Barlow and Nell Lovell Barlow. She grew up in Lucin and Brigham City, Utah, and graduated from Box Elder High School and Utah State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education. On August 10, 1956, she married William Marshall Briggs in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. Together they raised their family of four children in Manila and Provo, Utah. Carol Anne also taught as an elementary special education teacher before retiring to Ammon with Bill 12 years ago. Known for her appetite for books and her love of family, Carol Anne was a beloved homemaker, mother, and grandmother. She passed away June 12, 2011, at her home in Ammon. Carol Anne is survived by her husband of nearly 55 years, Bill, four children, Marshall Roy and Kimberly Briggs of Lindon, UT, Kristee Marchell and Chris Hunting of Kent, WA, Marcie Lynn and Jonathan Rozack of Idaho Falls, ID; and Bevan William and Sara Briggs of Pasco, WA; and a brother, Wesley and Mickie Barlow of Brigham City, UT; and 20 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, with Bishop Scott Noble of the Ammon LDS 16th Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. at Wood East Side. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery.
