Carol Barr

Carol Lucille Barr passed away April 13, 2018, at the age of 80, at her home in Firth, Idaho, from cancer. She was born September 30, 1937, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Russel and Erma Sheeley. She grew up in Idaho Falls Idaho and attended schools in the surrounding area, as well as graduated from Idaho Falls High School.

On June 20, 1957, she married the love of her life, Errol Leon Barr, in Dillon, Montana. They were sealed together for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on December 9, 2000.

Carol made their home a loving place with their family in Idaho Falls and Firth, Idaho. She was a home maker and wonderful mother to her children. She worked as an Avon representative as well as cosmetologist and later years at Idaho Supreme.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in several callings in the young women's, sports, Primary Teacher, Scout Leader and Relief Society. Carol was an avid outside person, loved grooming her gardens, flowers and just staying busy all the time.

Carol is survived by her children, 3 daughters and 2 sons, Kim Marie Burns (Spouse: Allan Burns) of Firth ID; Tamara Larie Horton-Kauhaahaa (Spouse David Horton) of Lynnwood, WA; Karie Lynn Harper of Spokane, WA; Jay Leon Barr of Post Falls, ID; Craig Errol Barr (Spouse Shana Barr) of St. George, UT; 21 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren; sisters, Mavis Hale, Alice Ricks, Margaret Seivers, Barbara Emerick, and Judy Neilsen; brothers, David Sheeley, and Steven Sheeley.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Errol Leon Barr, son, Michael Quinn Barr, parents, Russel and Erma Sheeley, and sisters, Mary Walker and Ruth Wilkerson, Hazel Sheeley, and Fern Sheeley.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018, at the Basalt LDS Ward, 823 North 6758 East in Basalt. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
