Carol Ashment

Carol E. Ashment, 71, of Swan Valley, Idaho, passed away, November 6, 2011, at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls. Carol was born February 23, 1940, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Alton C. Ball and Emily C. Fenton Ball. Carol grew up in Idaho Falls and attended Bonneville High School. She married Theron Rex Ashment March 1, 1957, in Idaho Falls. Together they raised their family of eight children and worked on their farm. Carol also worked as a bus driver. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. Carol enjoyed doing genealogy, sewing, camping and snowmobiling, doing crafts and watching the birds around the house and trees in her yard. She is survived by her husband, Theron, of Swan Valley; Daughter, Tammy Coleman (Scott Wills) of Idaho Falls, ID; Daughter, Lauri (Randy) Guthrie of West Richland, WA; Son, Randy (Barbara) Ashment of Swan Valley, ID; Son, Walt (Teresa) Ashment of Swan Valley, ID; Daughter, Michele (Jack) Swisher of Rexburg, ID; Son, Blaine Ashment of Idaho Falls, ID; Son-In-Law: Mike (Cheryl) Yasuda of Swan Valley, ID Brother, Melvin (LaRae) of Idaho Falls, ID; Sister, Dorothy (Ralph) Brown of Idaho Falls, ID 23 Grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Jeff Ashment, daughter, Connie Yasuda and a brother, Blaine Ball. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Friday, November 11, 2011, at the Palisade LDS Ward in Swan Valley, Idaho, with Bishop Doug Martin officiating. The family will visit with friends from 11 to 11:45 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
