Carmen Ann Armenta-Schwemmer, 40, of Idaho Falls, passed away in her sleep on Saturday, July 5, 2025, due to a lingering illness.
Carmen was born April 16, 1985, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Jose Guadalupe Armenta and Tamara Mary Muffler Armenta. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Skyline High School.
At a young age, Carmen was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes. In spite of all of the health challenges this caused through the years, Carmen was the strongest, kindest, and most loving person. She blessed the lives of all who knew her.
On June 26, 2021, she married Tommy Schwemmer in Idaho Falls.
Carmen is survived by her loving parents, Tamara and Jose Armenta of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Christine (Steve) Tonks of Meridian, ID; cherished nephew, Bradley Tonks of Meridian, ID; grandmother, Beverly Muffler of Vernon, TX; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends, all of whom loved her deeply. She also leaves behind her husband, Tommy Schwemmer; step-children, Connor, Zakary, and Abby of Idaho Falls, ID.
She was preceded in death by a cherished infant daughter, Emri Jade; maternal grandparents; Richard and Mary Muffler; and paternal grandparents, Manuel and Maria Armenta. We know the reunion in heaven was a joyful one.
Services will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Sageview Ward, 1345 Clarence Drive. The family will visit with friends from 9:30-11 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to camp HODIA (a juvenile diabetes camp that Carmen loved dearly).
