CARMELETA McCULLOCH
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Carmaleta McCulloch, 87, of Idaho Falls,
died April 1, 2005, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was born November 20, 1917, in Antimony, Utah, to Howard
Shutt Brindley and Emily LaVada Cantrell Brindley. She grew up and attended
schools in Antimony and Kingston, Utah.
She married Lawrence Wesley Woods October 6, 1932, and to
that union, seven children were born. In 1951, the family moved to Archer,
Idaho, then to Rexburg in 1961. They were later divorced. In 1964, Carma and
her three youngest daughters moved to Idaho Falls, where she lived until the
time of her death.
She married Harry Elmer McCulloch March 4, 1965. Their marriage
was solemnized July 7, 1978 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He preceded her
in death November 1, 1981.
She married Vernon L. Shaffer in 1982 and they were later
divorced. She worked as a nurse throughout her adult life, including 17 years
for Dr. Hal Davis.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints, in which she served in many callings in Primary, as a Relief Society
Visiting Teacher, and completing missions in the Logan, Utah and Idaho Falls
Temples.
She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren
and great grandchildren, enjoyed reading, gardening crocheting, baking, canning,
and took great pride in immaculate care of her home and yard.

26 Grandchildren, 66 Great Grandchildren, 8 Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harry E. McCulloch,
six brothers, seven sisters, and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2005,
at the Idaho Falls Stake Center, 1155 East First Street, with Bishop Melvin
Georgeson of Idaho Falls LDS 14th Ward officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Monday from 7-8:30
p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and for one hour prior to the services
Tuesday, at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations
to a Memorial Fund for Carma McCulloch at East Idaho Credit Union, 865 South
Woodruff, Idaho Falls.
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction
of Wood Funeral Home.
