CARLIS HAMMER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Carlis Weldon Hammer, 86, of Idaho Falls, passed away died January 29, 2009, at Idaho Falls Health & Rehabilitation.
He was born February 19, 1922, in Ammon, to William Jasper Hammer and Dora May Denning Hammer. He attended Osgood School. He served his country in the United States Air Force during World War II.
After returning home from the war, Carlis married Donna Delores James on June 30, 1946, in Osgood. They made their home in Idaho Falls, where they raised four children together. He worked as a brick layer in the area. Carlis enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and spending time with his family and friends.

Daughter: Shirley (Pete) Hedenstrom, Prineville, OR
Son: Steven (Miste) Hammer, Salt Lake CIty, UT
Sister: Doris Ames, Spokane, WA
Brother: Keith Hammer, Hurricane, UT
6 Grandchildren & 6 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, four sisters, and his son, Terry Hammer.
The family will hold private services.
