CARL JENSEN
SHELLEY, ID -- Carl William Jensen, 84, of Shelley, died December 4, 2008, at his home of natural causes.
He was born July 20, 1924, in Eureka, California, to Edward Carl Christen Jensen and Annabelle Chaffin Jensen. He attended Boise State College, where he trained in automotive body and fender.
He served as a Private First Class in the U. S. Army during World War II.
He married Marion LaVonna Simpson September 12, 1992, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They made their home in Idaho Falls and he worked as a Flume Operator for U&I Sugar Factory and later in maintenance for RT French Company.
Carl enjoyed sports and car mechanics.

Brother: Ralph (Peggy) Jensen, Shelley, ID
Sister: Elodee Kaufman, Gresham, OR
22 Grandchildren, 35 Great Grandchildren, & 6 Great Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion; seven sisters; two brothers; a step-grandson, Timmy Simpson; and a step-granddaughter, Vanessa Simpson.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2008, at the Shelley-Hillcrest Cemetery with Pastor Gordon Boyle of Calvary Chapel officiating.
Burial will be in the Shelley-Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
