CARL J. HALLER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Carl John Haller, 96, of Idaho Falls,
died December 19, 2003, at the Idaho Falls Care Center from injuries
received in a fall at home.
He was born December 7, 1907, in Grandin, Missouri,
to John Haller and Mary Schunter Haller. He attended German school in
Missouri, and grade schools in Roberts and Eastside in Idaho Falls.
He served four years in the U. S. Navy Seabees during
World War II in the South Pacific.
He married Nora Hermine Oswald, April 10, 1930, in
Idaho Falls. He worked for Hoff Coal and Ice Company, Idaho Falls Transfer
and Storage, and for Sears & Roebuck from which he retired in 1973.
He was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church.
He always grew a beautiful garden and enjoyed fishing,
hunting and camping.

Daughter: Dolores (Uriel) Wallace, Idaho Falls, ID
Son: George (Glenda) Haller, Idaho Falls,
Daughter-in-law: Sandra Haller, Idaho Falls
Sister: Louise Drugge, Yuma, AZ
11 Grandchildren, 31 Great Grandchildren, and 3Great Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Robert “Bob”
Haller, two brothers and four sisters.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December
23, 2003, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge, with Ron
Wallace officiating.
The family will visit with friends Tuesday beginning
at 10:00 a.m. at Wood Funeral Home. Military Rites will be performed
by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
Burial will be in Grant-Central Cemetery under the
direction of Wood Funeral Home.
