Candice Christine (Waid) Quintanilla

Candice Christine Quintanilla, 38, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away unexpectedly of heart failure on November 12, 2024, at her home.

She was born on January 21, 1986, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Robert Blaine Waid and Charlotte Christine Thain.

Candice touched the lives of all who knew her with her infectious laughter and beautiful heart. She was known for her love of animals, big personality, and lighting up a room when she entered. She was bold and loved all things glitter and pink, always seeking out new experiences and making memories with those she held dear. Candice will be remembered by many as we hold her close to our hearts forever.

On January 22, 2016, she married Christopher Andrew Quintanilla. They made their home in Idaho Falls where Candice worked as a C.N.A. and M.A. in the healthcare field.

She is survived by her husband, Christopher Quintanilla; father, Robert Waid; mother, Charlotte Thain; sister, Crystal Waid (Ben Dockstader); children, Jaxson Cox, Wyatt Sundstrom, Elliot Quintanilla, and Payton Quintanilla; grandma, Mary Ellen Strom; grandma, Dodie Waid; nieces, Gracie Waid and Mya Dockstader; aunts, Katherine Lands, Cathy Skelton, and Janet Matherne; uncle, Tim White; step-brothers, Skylar Jenkins, Christopher Sermon, and Michael Sermon; step-sister, Nikki Jenkins; cousins, JR Skelton, Tyler Lands, Maile Scarpino, Meah Matherne, and Morgan Matherne.

She was preceded in death by her grandma, Coylene Martin; grandpa, Bradley Strom; grandpa, Rodney Waid; and aunt, Cindy White.

A gathering will be held from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Candice is leaving a void in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
