Candi Lynn Gagnon, 67, of Idaho Falls, entered eternal life on May 5, 2026, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Candi was born March 19, 1959, in Bakersfield, California, to Bernard James Foxal and Lillie Belle VanDerHorst Foxal.
Candi made her home in Bakersfield, California, where she worked as a case manager for California Children’s Services. Her favorite part of her career was supporting the families of children with complex medical conditions.
Candi is survived by her daughter, Erin and husband Daniel Barron, their four daughters, Chloe, Jocelyn, Grace, and Paige of Idaho Falls, ID; her son, James and wife Lanay Gagnon, and five children, Alexia, Preston, Parker, Sawyer, and Declan of Kennewick, WA; her daughter, Carrie and husband Shaun Lyons, and three children, Seth, Connor, and Aubree of Bozeman, MT; and four sisters, Patty Shinn, Pam Castro, Tami Hosey, and Terri Bonilla.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Lillie Belle Foxal; her sister, Penny Highfill; and brother-in-law, Arturo Castro. We are overjoyed for their reunion!
Candi was a Christian who loved Jesus and her Tuesday Night Bible Study. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, going out to eat, playing games, baking with love, traveling to see family, and spending time with family and friends. Her entire life she exemplified Christ’s love, and she welcomed everyone with a hug and kiss. Despite her complex medical conditions, in her final days, she expressed that if only one person came to know Christ because of her, then all of her suffering would be worth it.
