Candi Ray (Bird) Christensen

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Candi Ray Christensen (Bird), 40, of Post Falls, Idaho, who passed away on February 2, 2023.

Candi was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, on September 20, 1982. She was the second child of Kenneth Ray Christensen and Pamela Mitchell (Long). She grew up in Shelley and graduated from Shelley High School in 2000. Soon after graduation, she was married and became a mother to five beautiful children.

Candi had a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh. She had many hobbies and talents. She loved to cook, bake, craft, play the piano, camp, read, and work on the ranch. She was a fierce advocate for her children and was involved with non-profit organizations for children with disabilities. Her greatest accomplishment in life was being a mother, a job that she loved and was dedicated to.

Candi is survived by her children, Cayge, Icelynn, Shylee, Ivory, and Kenasyn; parents, Ken Christensen and Pamela Mitchell; former husband, Rayce Bird; fiancé, Travis Delaney; grandparents, Ray and Nina Christensen; sister, Genice Waite (Zac); half-sisters, Danyelle Hatch (Michael), Stephanie Hansen (Cody), Monica Mitchell, Rachel Mitchell, Karlee Baur (Zac); half-brothers, Casey Christensen (Kristie) and John Christensen; and countless friends and family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue in Idaho Falls. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00-10:50 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery.
