IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Calvin James Nelson, 88, of Idaho Falls, died November 2, 2003, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
He was born June 11, 1915 in Sublett, Idaho to Ephriam and Madia Haskell Nelson. He was the oldest of 8 children. He attended school in Sublett, Malta and Cache Valley.
On November 20, 1941, he married Genevieve E. Anderson in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He was a farmer in Sublett and a long time farmer in Paul, Idaho.
He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served in many callings including two full time missions, one in North Central States and the latter with his wife in Fresno, California. He also served three stake missions and was a temple worker in the Boise and Idaho Falls temples.
His hobbies were his children and grandchildren.

Sister: Ruby Parish, Burley, ID
35 Grandchildren and 37 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, a sister, and
a grandson, Nathan Schofield.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2003, at the Idaho Falls LDS Fox Hollow Ward, 2345 West 17th South, with Bishop Todd Nichols officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, and for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
