BUDDY G. ALLEN IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Buddy Gene Allen, 79, of Idaho Falls, died March 30, 2004, in Victor at the home of his daughter. He was under the care of the Teton Valley Hospice Home Health Care. He was born February 2, 1925, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Charles WIlliam Allen and Bertha Marie Lewis Allen. He was raised and attended schools in Clark. He also lived in Arco for 23 years and in Idaho Falls for 30 years. He served in the U. S. Army in the 11th Airborne Division during World War II. He married Emma Ella Young May 26, 1946, in Dillon, Montana. He worked as a painter, and as the Paint Department Supervisor at CPP at the INEL. His wife died December 28, 2001. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He also belonged to the Elks Lodge and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include: Son: Russell James Allen, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Wanda Jean Allen, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Kenneth Jay Allen, Battle Mountain, NV Son: Charles Phillip Allen, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Dixie Lee (Lanny Rex) Dick, Victor, ID Son: Ted Michael Allen, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Jay Harrison Allen, Victor, ID, Brother: Jerry Allen, Hamilton, MT Sister: Alene (Don) Jackson, Pingree, ID Sister: Wanda (Rolland) Caldwell, Island Park, ID Sister: Leona (Jim) McMurtrey, Chester, ID Sister: Gail Herbst, Yoncalla, OR Sister: Fern Yoes, Las Vegas, NV 8 Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Emma, two sisters, and two brothers. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 3, 2004, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge Avenue, with Keith Nelson officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday for one hour prior to the services, both at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge). Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
