Buddy Corodell Shepherd, 70, of Iona, passed away January 5, 2013, at his home after a long illness. He was under the care of One Source Hospice.
Bud was born July 1, 1942, in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, to Oscar Ivie Shepherd and Phylinda Simkins Shepherd. His family moved to Shelley when he was seven. He moved to Idaho Falls when he was twelve. He lived with his sister, Bonnie, in Bremerton, Washington, for three years. Bud attended school at Shelley and Idaho Falls.
On December 3, 1960, he married Kathleen Hebdon in Idaho Falls. To this union were born three children. He worked at Ada's Cafe for 14 years, then as s a Warehouse Specialist for INL for 33 years. Buddy and Kathleen lived in Iona, Idaho, for 40 years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially his grandchildren.

Sister, Karen Sue Shepherd of Idaho Falls, ID;
Sister, Carma Simpson of Idaho Falls, ID;
Sister, Sandra (Leo) Gaitan of Independence, OR;
Sister, Terry (Jeff) Wright of West Valley, UT;
Half Sister, Monetta of Utah;
12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brittany Hembree, a brother, Gary Shepherd, a sister, Bonnie Peterson, her stepfather, John Simkins, her mother, Phylinda M. Simkins, and her father, Oscar Ivie Shepherd.
Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, with Bishop Hal R. Schofield of the Iona LDS 2nd Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home.
