Buck Anthony Garner, 20, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away December 25, 2011, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Buck was born March 6, 1991, in Nogales, Arizona, to Darrell Dee Garner and Lisa Marie Roberts Garner. He moved to Idaho at the age of 3 where he grew up He attended schools in Nevada and Idaho.
A hard worker, Buck worked in construction hanging drywall, framing, and roofing.
He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, Jui-Jitsu, and kick boxing. He loved spending time with his friends and family.
Buck is survived by his mother, Lisa Garner of Idaho Falls, ID; father, Darrell Garner of Tucson, AZ; brother, Jacob Garner of Idaho Falls, ID; fiancee, Haily Dineen of Idaho Falls, ID; grandparents, Buck and Billie Garner of Rio Rico, AZ; and step Grandmother, Cherria Roberts of Anaheim, CA.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Shandi Garner, three uncles, Shawn Staggie, Kirk Roberts, and Randy Blair also his grandparents, Darrell Roberts and Chloe Ann Swanson.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2012, at Calvary Chapel (4250 S. 25th E., with Dan Kishiyama officiating. The family will visit with friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday evening at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon Road) and Monday from 1 to 1:45 p.m., prior to the funeral at Calvary Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to help cover expenses. Donations can be made to any location of Westmark Federal Credit Union, Wells Fargo Bank and Bank of Commerce in Buck’s name.
After the funeral service, there will be a luncheon for family and friends held at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1730 St. Clair (corner of 17th St. and St. Clair) at 4 p.m. Please bring a hot (lasagna, chicken, etc) or cold (veggies, chips, dips, cold cuts, cheeses, Jello, fruit) dish or dessert (cakes, cookies, candy, etc.). Green salads, rolls, dishes and drinks will be provided.
