Bryant Mortimer Roberts, age 82, of Grangeville, Idaho, passed away August 6, 2016, at his home of Alzheimer's Disease. He was under the care of his loving wife, Diane.
Bryant was born December 26, 1933, in Sugar City, Idaho, the second son of Horace Lenn Roberts and Alice Mortimer Roberts. He grew up in Sugar City and Salem on the family farm. His mother passed away when he was three years old and his father married Freda Bertha Rindlisbacher Allen on April 28, 1938. Lenn and his two boys (Merlin and Bryant) joined Freda and her two daughters (Ruth and Marene) as they welcomed six more siblings to the family, Blair, Mark, twins Darrell and Farrell, Winona, and Wayne.
Bryant served in the U. S. Navy, then earned a degree in engineering.
He married Naomi Ruth Farnsworth November 24, 1954, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and they were blessed with three children, Carolyn, Jack, and Joel. They made their home in Honeyville, Utah, where Bryant worked for Thiokol Corp. They later divorced. Ruth passed away April 8, 2012, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He later married Diane Scott and they made their home in Grangeville, Idaho, where they farmed and ranched. Bryant loved the years he lived in Grangeville. Fishing was his greatest joy and he loved to go fishing with his wife.

daughter, Carolyn (Larry) Chacon of UT,
son, Jack Roberts of UT,
son, Joel (Christie) Roberts of WA,
brother, Mark (Linda) Roberts of Kimberly, ID,
sister, Winona (Ralph) Munger of Marsing, ID,
brother, Wayne Roberts of Salt Lake City, UT;
12 grandchildren, more than 40 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Merlin (Norma), Blair (D'Anne), Darrell (Cherria), and Farrell, two sisters, Norma Ruth (Lance) Merchant, Leona Marene Holm, and an infant sister, Helen Edith Roberts.
Private family memorial services will be held at his favorite fishing spot.
