Bruce "Moose" Wise

Bruce James "Moose" Wise, 58, of Idaho Falls, passed away peacefully October 12, 2013, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, after a long illness. Bruce was born January 20, 1955, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the second child of James Henry Wise and Phoebe Cleverly Wise. He grew up in Idaho Falls and attended O. E. Bell Junior High and Skyline High School. On April 6, 1973, he married Sherry Marie Miller, the true love of his life, in Idaho Falls. Bruce had four children, Tony, Lisa, Julie, and Jay. He loved his wife and children very much and always wanted the best for them. Bruce worked as a ditch rider for New Sweden Irrigation District for many years, and worked various different jobs throughout his life. He enjoyed yard sales, cutting iron, car shows, and collectibles. In his earlier years he loved fishing and being outdoors. Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Sherry Wise of Idaho Falls, ID; Son, Tony (Lisa) Wise of Idaho Falls, ID, Daughter, Lisa Ann Wise of Las Vegas, NV, Daughter, Julie (Michael) Rose of Las Vegas, NV, Son, James Thomas Wise of Idaho Falls, ID; Brother, Dale (Virginia) Wise of Mesa, AZ, Brother, Lynn Henry Wise of Idaho Falls, ID, Brother, Dwight Briggs of Burley, ID. 7 grandchildren, Tyler Rose of Las Vegas, NV, Ashley Snyder of Las Vegas, NV, Malaniha Snyder of Las Vegas, NV, Michael Rose of Las Vegas, NV, Daniel Sproul of Las Vegas, NV, Bryce J. Toman of Idaho Falls, and Matt P. Toman of Cedar Rapids, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Sherry Wise. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 19, 2013, at the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery, 12463 East 129 North. The family will visit with friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue.
