BRUCE R. ROCKWOOD
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Bruce Rushton Rockwood, 86, of Iona, died
May 12, 2005, at Idaho Falls Health and Rehab.
He was born September 17, 1918, in Iona, to Amos Rockwood
and Melissa Rushton Rockwood. He grew up and attended schools in the area.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
On November 4, 1942, he married Lowana Jenkins in Blackfoot.
Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on July 27, 1945. Lowana
died May 3, 1980. In November, 1984, he married Marguerite Olsen McNamara.
She died in August of 2004. He worked as a farmer and rancher.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints. Bruce enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and visiting with family
and friends.

Daughter-in-law: Lois Rockwood, Idaho Falls, ID
Brother: Hubert R. (Ethel Ann) Rockwood, Iona, ID
Brother: Jerry R. Rockwood, Moscow, ID
Sister: Betty Carlson, Salt Lake City, UT
9 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lowana; his second wife, Marguerite;
two sons, Amos Rockwood and Richard J. Rockwood; and six siblings, Warren
Rockwood, Elaine Tolmie, Florence Hansen, Lynn Rockwood, Genevieve Madsen,
and Ray Rockwood.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 16, 2005,
at the Iona LDS Stake Center (Iona Road & Ririe Highway) with Bishop Geoffrey
Thomas of the Iona 5th Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends
Sunday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and Monday
for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in Iona Cemetery under the direction of Wood
Funeral Home. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans
Memorial Team.
