Bruce Richards

Click Here To View Memorial Video Bruce E. Richards, 57, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 29, 2014, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was under the care of his family and Avalon Hospice. Bruce was born June 10, 1957, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Grant Thomas Richards and Barbara Jean Eckersley Richards. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Bonneville High School in 1976. On March 30, 1979, he married Coy Ashment in Idaho Falls, Idaho. To this union were born four children, Jennifer, Jessica, Melissa, and Jeremy. Bruce and Coy made their home in Idaho Falls, where Bruce worked as an injection molder for Precision Plastics for twenty years. He has worked as a car detailer at Ron Sayer for seven years, until he became ill. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Boy Scouts of America. He enjoyed fishing and camping, and spending time with family. He also enjoyed meeting for Sunday morning coffee with his friends. Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Coy Richards of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Jennifer Richards of Idaho Falls, ID, daughter, Jessica (Chad) Bateman of Idaho Falls, ID, daughter, Melissa (Sunshine) Aguilar of Idaho Falls, ID, son, Jeremy (Stephanie) Richards of Idaho Falls, ID, father, Grant Thomas Richards of Idaho Falls, ID, brother, Ralph Richards of Firth, ID, brother, Roy (Cindy) Richards of Idaho Falls, ID, brother, Rex (Susan) Richards of Iona, ID, sister, Laraina (Michael) Landon of Firth, ID, sister, Bobbett Jensen of Idaho Falls, ID; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Jean Richards. A Gathering for family and friends will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 1, 2014, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, November 6, 2014, at the Idaho Falls Eagle’s Lodge, 635 Hemmert Avenue.
