Bruce Jasper Campbell, 89, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 16, 2015, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Bruce was born May 14, 1925, in Three Rivers, Michigan, to Merle Campbell and Janet Armstrong Campbell. He grew up and attended schools in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He served in the 2nd Infantry during World War II, in France. On July 4, 1956, he married Lula Mae Payne (nee Addy) in Las Vegas, Nevada. To this union were born daughters, Brenda and Betsy. Bruce and Lula made their home in Arizona, California, and South Dakota. Bruce made a living as a radiator mechanic and in serving others. They moved to Idaho Falls after retirement to be closer to family in their final years. He was a member of Assembly of God church and served as a Sunday School Superintendent and as church Treasurer. He enjoyed Cribbage, Rummy, and being a trickster on his grand kids, bowling and horse shoes when he lived in Casa Grande, Arizona. Bruce is survived by his daughter, Brenda Muntifering (Dr. Robert) Kakehashi of Encinitas, CA; daughter, Betsy (Rev. Keith) Presley of Idaho Falls, ID; grandchildren, Michael, Laura, and Ryan Kakehashi and Sarah Muntifering (deceased) all of California; Shaylalyn Presley, Syndi (Steve) Shoff, Steven (Janie) Presley; and great grandchildren, Acaija, Stephanie, Saralyn, and Sadie Shoff; and Aeden Presley of Idaho Falls. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Lula Mae Campbell; his parents Merle and Janet Campbell; a granddaughter, Sarah Muntifering; his brother Harold Nye, and sisters Janet Nye Wright and June Campbell St. John. Memorial Services will be held at a later date in Arizona.
