Bruce Blackwell

BRUCE BLACKWELL RIGBY, ID -- Bruce Anthony Blackwell, 64, of Rigby, died January 28, 2006, of cancer at his home. He was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice. He was born April 24, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois, to Carl Blackwell and Kathleen Gooday Blackwell. He grew up in Chicago and attended Tilden High School. He married Carol Ann Weber December 6, 1975, in Chicago, Illinois. They made their home in Pocatello for 21 years while he worked as a machinist for Bucyrus Erie. They also lived in Henderson, Nevada, for eight years and Rigby for one year. He enjoyed fishing, camping, outdoor activities, and building cars. Bruce loved his grandchildren and was eagerly anticipating the birth of his eighth grandchild in March. Surviving are: His Wife: Carol A. Blackwell of Rigby, ID Daughter: Amanda M. (Donnie) MacLean of Rigby, ID Daughter: Ruth Blackwell of Chicago, IL Sister: Kathleen (John) Iwanski of Aurora, IL 7 Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents. Private Family Services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
