Brock "Chedda Cherry" Cherry

The light of our lives, Brock Allan “Chedda” Cherry, 17, of Shelley, Idaho, passed away early December 24, 2011, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. Brock was born April 25, 1994, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Tracy William Cherry and DeNise Adrienne Sato Cherry. He grew up in Shelley and attended Stuart Elementary, Hobbs Middle School, and Shelley High School, where he was a senior. Brock was a dedicated worker at Dad’s Truck Wash for two years. Brock was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed skateboarding, snowboarding, and drawing; graffiti art was his forte. Brock’s ultimate passion, however, was skateboarding. He was striving to become a pro-skateboarder, entering competitions whenever available. After graduation his goal was to attend an art school in Denver, Colorado. Brock is survived by his parents, DeNise Cherry of Shelley, ID, and Tracy Cherry of Idaho Falls brother, Nathan Cherry of Shelley, ID sister, Danyel (Jordon) Knapp of Terreton, ID grandfather, James Sato of Idaho Falls, ID He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Darlene Sato. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 30, 2011, at Wood Funeral Home Chapel of the Pines, 273 N. Ridge, Idaho Falls, with Trent Dye of the Shelley LDS Eighth Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., both at Wood Funeral Home.
