Brian Waters

Brian Lee Waters , 57, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 13, 2017, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Brian was born July 8, 1960, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Larry Allen Waters and Darla Ann Smith Waters. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Skyline High School.

On April 14, 1979, he married Sherry Lynn Miller in Idaho Falls. Brian and Sherry made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Brian worked as a mechanic and truck driver in heavy construction.

He was an award winning bass fisherman. He loved to hunt, ride motorcycles, tinkering and fixing things. He was a perfectionist to a fault. His tools were his pride, and he collected guns with his dad. Family was everything to him and his nieces and nephews, Derrikk (Brie), Steffani (Tyrel), Eric (Whitney), Melissa (Nick), Kristin (Brenton), Shineese, Shawn, Travis, Katie, Dallas and the littles ones, Zoran, Xyra, Xavion, Brody, Jaiden, McKenna, Tucker, DisaLynn and Jaxsen were his world. He loved to tease and his wife was his favorite target.

Brian is survived by

his loving wife of 38 years, Sherry Waters of Idaho Falls, ID; mother, Darla Ann Waters of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Debra (Steven) Nelson of Idaho Falls, ID; sister-in-law, Oly Steed of Idaho Falls, ID; sister-in-law, Teresa (Tom) Rosenwinkel of Vancouver, WA; brother-in-law, Arthur Miller of Idaho Falls, ID; brother-in-law, Don (Pam) Miller of Idaho Falls, ID; and his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, Reuben A. Waters, Emma L. Waters, William P. Smith, E. Maurine Smith, and his brother-in-law, Andy Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 18, 2017, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00-5:30 p.m., and Monday from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to services, both times at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
