Brian James Perkins, age 37, passed away unexpectedly due to heart failure on February 5, 2026.

He was born to Eric and Susan Perkins on May 24, 1988, in San Diego, California, and was the youngest of four children.

Brian started Kindergarten at Chesterton Elementary, San Diego, in July 1993. That Fall, the family moved to Idaho. He attended Central Elementary School in Sugar City, Iona Elementary, Rocky Mountain Middle School, Bonneville High School, and graduated from Lincoln High School, Idaho Falls, June 1, 2006.

Brian participated in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and 4H. He tried wrestling and baseball, but the sport he came to love was skateboarding. He loved metal music, played the guitar and drums, and loved jamming with his friends. He loved camping and fishing with friends or his brothers. He had a love of art, drawing as a child, and creating awesome graffiti art with his friends as an adult.

Brian worked as a manager for Subway for many years. He felt that his employees should have a fun time working, and had many good friends within his Subway family.

He had a wonderful sense of humor and knew how to make people laugh. His family and friends love and miss him.

Brian is survived by his mother, Susan Perkins; father, Eric (Barbara) Perkins; sister, Jennifer (Glen) Cecil; brother, Dustin (Charitee Walker); brother, Kevin Perkins; grandmother, Charlotte Parry; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who adored him.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Kenneth Parry; grandmother, Karen (Dale) Rasmussen; and grandfather, VanNess (LaRae) Perkins.

An informal Celebration of Life for Brian will be held from 1:30-4 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2026, at the Iona Stake Building, 7555 N. 55th E., Idaho Falls, ID. Please come to eat, share a story, spend time with family and friends, or get a hug. Casual attire. Interment will be a private family event in the Riverview Cemetery, St. Anthony, Idaho, at a later date.

Cremation and services are provided by Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, Ammon, Idaho.
