Brian Eugene Evans

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Brian Eugene Evans on July 21, 2026, at the age of 70.

Brian was born on December 21, 1955, in Joplin, Missouri, to Eugene Robert Evans and Sarah Wanda Evans. He lived a life defined by kindness, generosity, and a deep appreciation for the people around him. Whether you had known Brian for decades or had just met him, he had a way of making you feel like a friend.

Family was the center of Brian's life. He cherished every gathering, every conversation, and every opportunity to spend time with those he loved. He found happiness in life's simple moments and believed the best memories were made together.

Brian had a lifelong passion for classic cars. He enjoyed collecting, buying, selling, and talking about them with anyone who shared his enthusiasm. He also loved spending time on the water, where boating brought him peace and many treasured memories with family and friends.

One place always held a special place in Brian's heart–Island Park. He loved driving the back

roads, watching the cattle graze, and taking in the beauty and quiet of the mountains. It was

where he could slow down, reflect, and simply enjoy the world around him.

A family tradition that will be especially missed was Christmas Eve when Brian came out to the shop. Every year, everyone looked forward to gathering around him for the scratch-off lottery tickets he handed out. The tickets were only a small part of the tradition–it was the laughter, excitement, and time spent together that made those evenings so special. Those Christmas Eve memories will forever remind us of Brian and the love he shared with everyone around him.

Brian is survived by his siblings, Terry, Jan, and Robin; many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless dear friends. He also leaves behind his very spoiled but deeply loved dog Chug, whose loyal presence brought him comfort and joy every day.

Brian's absence leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of those who loved him. His laughter, generous heart, and quiet acts of kindness will never be forgotten. Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for the memories he gave us–the drives through Island Park, the days spent boating, the conversations over classic cars, and the family traditions that will continue to honor his legacy.
