Brent Hill

Brent Jay Hill,”Unc”, 61, of Idaho Falls peacefully passed away in his home April 17, 2011 to be with our Lord. He was born on April 22, 1949 in Idaho Falls to Jess LeRoy Hill and Nello Von Rapp Hill. He lived an adventurous life, one who was the center of the crowd. After graduating from Bonneville High School in 1968, he joined the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam War. Returning home, Brent soon became known as “animal” to his friends and co-workers at Idaho National Laboratory where he worked as a laborer, heavy equipment operator and a machinist. His work also contributed to building the power plants in Idaho Falls and other construction projects around Eastern Idaho. He then retired in 2005 to enjoy more of his time doing the things he loved. He spent his time fishing, duck and goose hunting, camping, going out to coffee with his brothers as well as making others smile. Brent also seemed to be “the lucky one” by always bringing home a gun he won at the Ducks Unlimited annual banquets. His dedication to wildlife conservation was also shown in his volunteer work with the Idaho Fish and Game. This love for animals did not stop there as he and his brother Warren had a heart for training their two Labrador Retrievers, Kiwi and Mocha. He is survived by his brother, Warren David Hill. Although he never had any children himself, he considered his nephew and niece his own. Brent truly had a life fulfilled with loving family and lifelong memories. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jack LeRoy Hill, Robert Errol Hill and Gary Dean Hill. The family will be celebrating his life on this birthday at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2011 at the Shiloh Foursquare Church (502 2nd Street) with Pastor Tony Maupin officiating. There will be a visitation at Wood Funeral home 9273 N. Ridge Ave.) from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Thursday April 21, 2011 for those whom would like to visit with family and friends. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to be made to the Hospice of Eastern Idaho, (1810 Moran Street).

Memorial Services -- Friday

Friday April 22, 2011 , 11:00 a.m. at Shiloh Foursquare Church

The family will visit with friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday evening at Wood Funeral Home (273 North Ridge Avenue) and one hour prior to services at the church.
