SHANE EVANS
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Brent Shane Evans, 43, of Shelley, passed away April 1, 2006, at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, after a snowmobile accident in Wolverine March 25th.
Shane was born July 10, 1962, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to James Brent Evans and Linda Louise Kelley Evans. He went to school at A. H. Bush Elementary, Clair E. Gale Jr. High, and Skyline High School.
Shane married his high school sweetheart, Dixie Sue Hicks, on August 23, 1986, in Idaho Falls. They have lived in Shelley at their current home for 25 years. He worked for EISSA and Pameco Aire and also had a small business at his home for snowmobile repair.
Shane enjoyed being outdoors, snowmobiling, being with family and friends, and helping others with their snow machines and small engines. Shane was willing to help anybody who stopped by; making anything run – and run good – would make his day. Shane loved his family and was a great father, husband, son, brother, and grandson.

Grandmother: Hazel Evans of Rigby, ID
Mother-In-Law: Hertha Jean Hicks of Idaho Falls, ID
He was preceded in death by his son, Casey James Evans, his father-in-law, Bruce Alan “Bill” Hicks, his grandparents, John & Louise Kelley, and grandfather, James LeVear Evans.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 7, 2006, at the Idaho Falls LDS 10th Ward, 1200 Dunbar. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, and for one hour prior to the services on Friday at the church.
Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
