Brent Deshon

Brent Allen DeShon, 49, of Rigby, Idaho, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013, in a snowmobiling accident. Brent was born October 30, 1964, in Enterprise, Oregon, to Frank Dwayne DeShon and Barbara Lois Fletscher DeShon. He attended Iona Elementary and Bonneville High School. On November 19, 1983, he married Aleta Talley. They were married for 18 years, and then divorced. On September 19, 2001, he married Michelle Kaylynn Thoren in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Brent worked for the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Department as a Deputy Sheriff for fifteen years. He was also a horse trainer and farrier, a Coil Tubing Operator in the North Dakota oil fields, and was also a Cowboy Poet. He enjoyed horses, guns, snowmobiles, rodeo, playing cards, and cowboy poetry. Brent is survived by his loving wife, Michelle DeShon of Rigby, ID; daughter, Jessica (Douglas) Cline of Shelley, ID; son, Kody DeShon of Rigby, ID; daughter, Valynn (Colby) May of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Lucas Cromwell of Rigby, ID; parents, Frank and Barbara DeShon of Idaho Falls, ID . Three grandchildren and another grandchild on the way. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and his sister Marja DeShon. Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life beginning at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2013, at The Big Barn.
