Brenda (Cook) Johnson

Brenda Cook Johnson, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 3, 2024, at her home.

Brenda was born December 26, 1944, in Rigby, Idaho, to Orville Cook and May Christina Ritchie Cook. She grew up and attended schools in Rigby and graduated from Rigby High School.

On December 11, 1965, she married Wilbur Lew Johnson in Rigby, Idaho. Brenda and Wilbur moved to Reno, Nevada, for a few years before returning to Idaho and making their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Brenda worked as a lunch lady at Idaho Falls High School.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. She loved Legos and her cats. She was a Betty Boop fan.

Brenda is survived by her son, Trent (Stacy) Johnson of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Teresa Arave of Idaho Falls, ID; three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Blaine Cook, Boyd Cook, Dean Cook, and Paul Cook; and sisters, Dolores Anderson and Joan Hawker.

A gathering will be held from 1-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
