Brandy Kelly Jensen, 53, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 14, 2023, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Brandy was born October 11, 1970, in Los Alamos, New Mexico, to Maxie Maine Kelly and Rosemary Luders Kelly. She grew up and attended schools in Los Alamos until the 11th grade, then moved to Provo, Utah, to train with the Utah Regional Ballet. Brandy graduated from Provo High School and later attended Brigham Young University. Brandy's true passion was found in her efforts to internalize the principles of ballet and share all she had learned through this art form. During her childhood in New Mexico, she met Stuart Reed Jensen and they were married several years later while living in Provo. Brandy and Stuart eventually made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Brandy raised her three children and founded the Idaho Ballet Theatre (IBT). Through her work as a ballet instructor and artistic director, Brandy touched the lives of hundreds of young dancers. Throughout her 20 years as the director of IBT, she staged full-length classical ballets twice per year, including The Nutcracker each Christmas. Brandy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed backpacking, skiing and anything else that allowed her to run free in the mountains. Her creative spirit found an outlet in crafts, homemaking, baking, decorating and sewing. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her children and later, her grandchildren. Brandy is survived by her husband, Stuart Reed Jensen of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Abbey (Trason) Lasley of Springville, UT; daughter, Danielle Jensen of Provo, UT; son, Evan Jensen of Provo, UT; parents, Maxie and Rosemary Kelly; brother, Sean (Joanne) Kelly of Aztec, NM; and 3 grandchildren.
