Brandon Jay Burke, 42, of Ammon passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024.
Brandon was born March 6, 1982, to Stanley Burke and Jennifer Burger. He grew up in Shelley, Idaho, and graduated from Westview High School.
Growing up in Shelley, he had a tight knit group of friends who remained his friends throughout his life. He loved all things sports and played basketball in his younger years. He took up golf in his twenties and excelled at it, often teaching others how to improve their swing. He enjoyed taking his son, nephews, and friends’ kids out on the course to teach them how to play. He was also an amazing artist, and would later use that skill to build beautiful custom speakers.
Though they shared a few close friends, he wouldn’t meet the love of his life, Nikki, and her young son, Quin, until early 2008. The three of them would spend the next 16 ½ years together. Brandon and Nikki were married June 2, 2018. They enjoyed spending time together with Quin and their three dogs.
Brandon was generous and loving and valued his family and friends above all things. He was particularly close to his younger brother, Ryan, throughout his life, and shared a birthday with his firstborn nephew, Isaac. He was a deeply loved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, and will always be missed.
Brandon is survived by his wife, Nikki (Crane) Burke; son, Quinlan Lowder; father, Stan Burke; brother, Ryan Burke; sisters, Nicole and Ashley Burke; brother, Dustin Burke; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jennifer (Burger) Taggart.
A gathering for friends and family will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road.
