BRADY KELLY
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Brady Ward Kelly, 57, died unexpectedly June 7, 2010, in New Port Richey, Florida, from a heart attack.
Brady was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho on September 5, 1952, to Richard Henry “Dick” Kelly and Ethel Vesta Ward Kelly.
Brady volunteered with the Ammon Fire Department and worked with Skidmore Construction for a few years before moving to the Seattle area. He settled in the St. Petersburg, Florida area about seven years later. He became an excellent craftsman, skilled in all facets of construction. He followed aviation as a hobby for years. Brady was also a proud member of the NHRA and a year round drag racer. He won “King of the Track” and a “Best Appearing” award for his car. He was a top 10 finalist every year he raced.
Brady had many friends wherever he lived and all knew him as a good, fair, loyal man who was always joking, laughing and telling stories. Few may have known that he played guitar and had a beautiful singing voice.
He once told his daughter that the one thing in his life that helped him hold on in hard times was his children. That held true later in life in the love he had for his four grandchildren.
He is survived by his children; Shannon Kelly Meacham in Idaho Falls, ID, Bryce “Bird” Kelly in Seattle, WA, and Megan Kelly Daniel in Holiday, FL, four grandchildren; and siblings, Danny (Kerri) Kelly, Rita (Pete) Schobert, and Renae (Chuck) Roberts. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Andrew R. “Skip” (Wanda) Kelly and R. Kurt Kelly; and a sister, Kerry Lee Kelly.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 14, 2010, at the Idaho Falls LDS Coltman Ward, 12448 North 5th East. Burial will be in Ammon Cemetery.
