Boyd Neal Guymon, 56, of Ammon, passed away January 6, 2017, from complications of Lupus, at his home, surrounded by family. Boyd was born July 10, 1960, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Donald Gene Guymon and Geraldine Smith Guymon. He graduated from Bonneville High School in 1978. He graduated from the Law Enforcement program at Idaho State University. On October 23, 1982, he married Connie Richins in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Together they had three children, Neal, Nephi, and Kira. Boyd and Connie made their home in Ammon, Idaho, where Boyd was a 25 year veteran Deputy Sheriff and D.A.R.E. Officer for Bonneville County. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served a mission in Montevideo, Uruguay. He served in many callings and was known for his love of working with the Youth. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, camping, and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. Boyd is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Connie Richins Guymon; son, Neal Boyd (Angie) Guymon; son, Nephi Daniel (Mallory) Guymon; daughter, Kira Jo (Timothy) Cannon; special exchange student, Silke Böttcher Paulsen; parents, Donald Gene Guymon and Geraldine Smith Guymon; brother, Brent Jay (Tonia) Guymon; brother, Daniel Lynn (Devrie) Guymon; brother, Darrell Ray (Terri) Guymon; sister, Janae (Steve) Post; and 5 grandchildren, Anna (9), Brooklyn (6), Austin (2), Grayson (3), and Marlo (2). He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jayden Neal Guymon, grandmother, Lila Lee Guymon, and grandfather, Farrell Guymon. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at Ammon 4th LDS Ward, 4375 East Sunnyside Road, with Bishop Eric Bodily officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, and Tuesday from 12:00 Noon to 12:45 p.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
