Bonnie Dee Cook Paget, 66, of Idaho Falls, passed away at her home on September 22, 2011 from cancer. She was being cared for by her loving family and Solace Hospice, under the direction of her doctor, Flint Packer. Bonnie was born June 6, 1945 in Ogden, Utah to Richard E. Beck and Melda Owens Beck. She grew up and attended schools in Joseph, Utah. She graduated from South Sevier High School and continued her education at BYU and Weber State. She earned a Master’s Degree and graduated with honors in Nursing Administration from the University of Utah. She married Gene Cook and two children, Chris and Candis, were born to their union. They were later divorced. She then married Gary Cook and they had one child, Korbin. They were later divorced. On June 29, 2001 Bonnie married Ronald Ralph Paget in Salt Lake City, and were later sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Bonnie lived in places all over the West: cities in Utah, Wyoming, Montana, and Washington before settling in Idaho Falls. Bonnie started her career as a nurse at McKay - Dee Hospital in Ogden, UT. She worked at American Fork Hospital as the Inservice Director. Following that position, she was employed as a nurse specialist in diabetes education and she started the Diabetes Unit at Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake City. Later, she took positions as Director of Nursing at hospitals in Cedar City, Utah; Cody, Wyoming; and Miles City, Montana. Prior to retiring, she acted as Chief Nursing Officer at Castleview Hospital in Price, Utah, where she helped the hospital achieve the “Top One Hundred Hospitals” award seven of the eight years she worked there. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Bonnie enjoyed painting, reading, making pottery, and traveling. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid spectator at their various sporting and school events. Survivors include her husband, Ronald Paget of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Chris (Jill) Cook of Eagle Mountain, UT; daughter, Candis (Brad)Moss of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Korbin (Ashley) Cook of Idaho Falls, ID; and 8 grandchildren: Kennadee, Saydee, Brantsen, Kaitlin, and Cooper Moss and Jacob, Kaden, and Carson Cook. She also leaves behind her stepson Tim (Marchel) Paget; stepson Danny (Autonya) Paget; and stepdaughter Stacey Clark; her sisters, Elizabeth Rogers and Barbara Jensen; and her brother, Richard W. Beck, all of Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents, a stepdaughter Michelle Paget; mother-in-law, June Paget; and two stepgrandchildren, Lexus Paget and Sean Paget. Funeral Services for Bonnie will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Wood East Side Chapel (963 South Ammon Road)with Bishop David Schwieder of the Iona LDS 3rd Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to services at Wood East. Burial will be in Iona Cemetery.
