BONNIE MONSON
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Bonnie Rae Sievers Monson, 70, died May
12, 2005, at the Riverview Resident Care Center.
She was born July 26, 1934, in Ucon, Idaho, to Carl Theodore
Sievers and Lillie Mae Winder Sievers. She grew up in Ucon and graduated from
Bonneville High School.
She married Hal LaMar Monson November 6, 1953, in the Idaho
Falls LDS Temple. They lived in Provo, Utah, while he attended BYU, briefly
in Salt Lake City, and have since lived in Idaho Falls.
She was a homemaker and mother, also working as a dental
assistant for five years, as a secretary for Garrett Freight Lines, Metcalf-Armstrong
Insurance and Real Estate, for Aerojet Nuclear, then for nearly 20 years cared
for foster babies in her home.
She was involved in Parent-Teacher activities while her children
attended school, and, as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints was active in all organizations. She and her husband served a full-time
mission to the New Jersey Cherry Hill Mission.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, painting, cooking, dancing,
singing with her lifelong womens sextet, with the Choraliers, and especially
loved her granddaughters, Bailee, Macee, Bryanna, Laurynn, Oaklee and Madison.
Her life was one of dedication to serving others.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Lori Diane Monson.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 16,
2005, at the Idaho Falls LDS Templeview Ward, 1450 Mountain View Lane, with
Bishop Dennis Reilly officiating.
The family will visit with friends Sunday from 7 to 8:30
p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, and Monday for one hour prior
to the services at the church.
Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery under the direction of
Wood Funeral Home.
