Bonnie Maxine Lowe, 87, of Idaho Falls, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her family. Bonnie was born April 5, 1930, by a midwife, in Downey, Idaho, to Clifford Georgeson Clements and Maurine Bybee Clements. She grew up in Idaho Falls, New Sweden, Lincoln and graduated from Ammon High School. Bonnie met the love of her life, Leon, in the fifth grade, but they didn't begin dating until after high school. Their first date was July 1948, and they were engaged soon after in September 1948. They were married January 20, 1949, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple in January 1998. Five children were born to this union, Susan, Carolynn, Debbie, Darryl and Randy. Eventually, their family grew to 20 grandkids and 31 great grandkids. Bonnie held many retail jobs, but she finished her career as a tax collector clerk in the Bonneville County Treasurer's Office. Bonnie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Bonnie enjoyed camping, fishing, sewing, bowling, crocheting, reading, bingo, quilting, playing cards and games, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She traveled up and down the valley supporting every one of her grandchildren's talents and events. Bonnie was head-over-heels in love with Leon for over 70 years. He passed just two months prior to the day she left this earth and she missed him with every ounce of her soul. Bonnie is survived by daughter, Susan Lowe of Idaho Falls; daughter, Debbie (Chuck) Fourman of Idaho Falls; son, Randy (Bonnie) Lowe of Idaho Falls; siblings, Dale Clements of Layton UT, Faye (Roger) Clements of Leadore ID, and Sherry Kirtley of Idaho Falls; 20 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Leon D Lowe, her father, Clifford Georgeson Clements, her mother, Maurine Bybee Clements, her brother, Bob Clements, her sister, Beth Lish, her daughter, Carolynn Barnes, her son, Darryl Lowe, and her son-in-law, Boyd Barnes. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Lincoln LDS 1st Ward, 3700 Lincoln Road, with Bishop Luke Heiner officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Lincoln Cemetery.
