Bonnie Ruth Elliott Collins, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 23, 2018, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Bonnie was born July 22, 1938, in Orleans, Nebraska, to Dale Richard Elliott and Edith Marie Goldsberry Elliott. She grew up and attended schools in Orleans. On February 12, 1965, she married Calvin Wayne Collins in Riverton, Wyoming. Bonnie and Calvin moved to Nevada in June 1985 and made their home in Idaho Falls, for the past year. Bonnie was a homemaker. She was a member of the Fundamental Independent Baptist Church where she loved teaching Sunday School and did ministries. She enjoyed reading, flower gardening, puzzles, going to yard sales, second hand shops and collecting, playing card games, cooking, looking at family photos and the movie, "Gone with the Wind." Bonnie is survived by her loving husband, Calvin Wayne Collins of Idaho Falls, ID; son, John Michael (Sandra) Mahan of Reno, NV; son, Dale Robert Mahan of Reno, NV; daughter, Debra Lee (Brett) Hansen of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Bruce Wayne (Christine) Collins of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Todd Christopher (Margie) Collins of Reno, NV; daughter, Samantha Kay Brown of Idaho Falls, ID; 18 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sons, James Floyd Mahan and Daniel Ray Mahan, daughter, Kimberley Ann Mahan, grandson, Stacey Lynn Hansen, brother, Floyd Elliott, sisters, Sharon Heglin and Loretta Ann Stanley. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, with Pastor Randy Ralstin officiating. The family will visit with friends from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Saturday prior to services. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
