LaVon “Bonnie” Evelyn Griffin Caudle, 87, formerly of Idaho Falls, passed away October 14, 2014, at Pikes Peak Care and Rehabilitation Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Bonnie was born October 20, 1926, in Rigby, Idaho to Henry A. Griffin and Mary E. Richardson Griffin. She grew up and attended schools in the area.
On September 2, 1946, she married Lee Caudle in Rigby, Idaho. They made their home in Idaho Falls. She was a mother, homemaker and also worked at full time at French’s Potato Warehouse. Her husband, passed away on December 7, 2000. Following his death, she visited her adult children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and spent time as a snow bird between Idaho Falls and Quartzite, Arizona. She moved permanently to Colorado Springs, CO in 2010.
Bonnie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and enjoyed quilting, playing cards, and doing puzzles.
Survivors are:
Daughter: Lura (Wallace) Williamson of Slidell, Louisanna
Son: Linden “Lin” Caudle of Idaho Falls, Idaho
Son: Leslie “Les” (Becky) Caudle of Palm Springs, California
Daughter: Lisa (Russell) Perry of Colorado Springs, Colorado
Daughter: LaVona “Cindy” (Rick) McDonald of Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Sister: Wanda (George) Summer of Aberdeen, Idaho
20 Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren with one on the way
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sons, Larry Caudle, LaDell Caudle and LaMar Caudle; brothers, Henry Griffin and Kearney Griffin; and sisters, Juanita Dunn, Victoria Hayes and Mary Carter.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2014, at the Idaho Falls LDS 18th Ward (1200 Dunbar) with Bishop Shawn Orgill officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday, October 24, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and on Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
