Bonita Pendleton Welch

Click Here To View Memorial Video Bonita Ann Pendleton Welch passed away at her home surrounded by her family, July 30, 2013, in Shelley, Idaho of cancer. She was born June 14,1937 in Rexburg, Idaho to Hazel Hendricks Glover and Leland Smith Glover. She graduated from Madison High School. Bonita married Wallace Junior Pendleton on May 5,1956, in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on October 10, 1976. Wally passed away August 21, 2001. Bonita was a wife and mother to four children and various other children. She worked various jobs while raising a husband and family. During her life, Bonita and the family traveled to various locations. She always made every journey an adventure. Bonita was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in several callings. On January 7, 2005, Bonita married Alfred Welch in Shelley, Idaho where she lived until her passing. Bonita is survived by her children, Wallace Kent Pendleton of North Dakota; Jeryl (Cache) Olson of Nampa, Idaho; Mark Pendleton of Shelley, Idaho; Kristy (Carl) Pleasner of Ammon Idaho; Stepsons, Trevor David of Tampa Bay, Florida, and Trenton David (Audree) of West Point, Utah; 40 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; brother, Brent Glover of Blackfoot, Idaho; sisters, Laurel Jones of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Trenna Glover of Shelley, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Wallace Pendleton; sisters, Darleen Clark, Viva Paluscio, and Maloah Welch; brothers, Lynn Glover and Leland Glover. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 3, at the Jameston LDS Ward (1101 East 1250 North, Jameston School Road) near Shelley. The family will visit with friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday, August 2, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. in Idaho Falls, and from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery. The family would like to express appreciation to Kay Wallace and the staff of One Touch Hospice for the loving care that was given to Bonita during her final days with us.
