BOBBY "PHIL" PHILLIPS
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Bobby Herbert Phillips, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 13, 2009, at Idaho Falls Care & Rehabilitation.
"Phil" was born February 8, 1930 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Herbert M. Phillips and Juanita Glasco Phillips. He attended school in Prescott, Star City and Little Rock, Arkansas. He graduated from Little Rock Senior High in 1948. He joined the Navy in 1948 and served until January 1950. He worked as a printer before rejoining the Navy in July of 1950 where he served until he retired in 1970. He was employed at Argonne and helped start up nuclear power plants in Missouri, Ohio and Arizona.
He came to Idaho Falls in 1957 to attend nuclear power school at the site. He met and married Jessie L. Brown on October 12, 1957 in Elko, Nevada. He joined the LDS Church in 1960. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in September of 1981.
He enjoyed camping and fishing.

Sister: Wanda Farmer, Benton, AR
3 Grandchildren & 3 Great Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, July 17, 2009, at the Idaho Falls LDS Thayerwood Ward, 5255 South 5th West, with Bishop Richard Dryer officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church.
Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and the Idaho Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations in Phil’s name be made to your favorite charity.
