Bobby Humpherys

Biography

Robert Eugene Humpherys, 59, of Idaho Falls, Idaho passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on November 26, 2010 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born August 11, 1951 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Robert Theodore Humpherys and Wilma Isabelle Taylor Humpherys. He moved with his family to Arco and lived there for a short time, then later moved to Idaho Falls. He graduated from Skyline High School. On October 19, 1973 Bobby married Nancy Jane Sears in Idaho Falls. They were married for 25 years and had three children. A couple years after their divorce, he met Linda Yamada. They were a perfect match and were married May 27, 2005. Bobby began his career as a welder at the Lincoln Sugar Factory and he continued to weld throughout his life. He was employed by Diversified of Idaho Falls. He had a keen sense of humor and he made friends wherever he went. Bobby’s passion for life was spending quality time with his family and enjoying the outdoors. He also enjoyed his horses and cows and was enthusiastic for everything “cowboy.” He never wasted an idle moment and lived life to its fullest. His most notable accomplishment was the patient and loving care he provided for his special-needs sister, Tammy. Bobby had a knack for conquering adversity and tackled his problems head-on with tenacity. He also had a gift for finding humor in just about any circumstance. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children Jason (Michelle) Humpherys of Boise, ID; Justin Humpherys of Logan, UT; Jennifer (Nathan) Hansen of Rigby, ID; Courtney (Mel) Yamada-Anderson of Boise, ID; and Ashley Yamada of Boise, ID; his grandchildren: Mason, Savannah, Jackson, Draven, and another grandson on the way; and his sisters: Verna Mae (Mont) Thorngren of Menan, ID; Martha Dale of Idaho Falls, ID; Linda (Del Ray) Lake of Idaho Falls, ID; Gail Oswald of Meridian, ID; and Tammy Kay Humpherys of Menan, ID. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Wilma Humpherys.
