Roberta Ann "Bobbie" Jackson, 73, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 24, 2016, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Bobbie was born September 7, 1942, in Long Beach, California, to Robert Koci and Ruth Bullington Koci. She grew up and attended schools in Long Beach and graduated from Long Beach Poly High School, whose mascot was the Jack Rabbit. She attended Beauty College in Long Beach and worked as a beautician at Magic Mirror in Lakewood, California, until her marriage. On September 8, 1962, she married Fred R. Jackson, after knowing him only 6 weeks, in Las Vegas, Nevada. To this union were born two daughters, Kathy and Kim. Fred and Bobbie made their home in Oxnard, California, where Bobbie was a homemaker. Nineteen years ago they retired in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Bobbie was the heart of the home. She loved to serve friends and family. She always put others first. She loved to cook for everyone and no one ever left her home hungry. She also enjoyed making crafts, crocheting, sewing, and painting. Bobbie is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Fred Jackson of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Kathy Jackson of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Kim Jackson of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Mike (Lynn) Koci of Lakewood, CA; grandson, Nico Mory of Idaho Falls, ID; grandson Wes (Kaitlyn)Mory of Biloxi, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 29, 2016, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, with Pastor Steve Morreale officiating. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to The Foundation of Peripheral Neuropathy, Attn: Supporting the Cause, 485 Half Day Rd. Suite 200, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089.
