Bobbie Hodges

Bobbie Jean Christensen Hodges, 70, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 21, 2016, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of natural causes. Bobbie was born March 19, 1946, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Berkly Oliver Christensen and Elverda Lucile Bagley Christensen. She grew up and attended public schools in Idaho Falls. Bobbie made her home in Idaho Falls nearly all her life. She worked as a cook for School District 93. Over the years she had worked several jobs to take care of herself and her kids, sometimes working two jobs in order to make ends meet. Bobbie was a major protector of her children. Anyone who knew her knew she had a big heart. She loved to help anyone she knew, or even total strangers at times. She enjoyed being in the mountains, camping, hiking, reading books, and cooking. Bobbie is survived by her son, Robert (Kelly) Hodges of Rigby, ID; son, Gibby A. (Michelle) Stotts of Chubbuck, ID; son, Jim Stotts of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Dwayne Christensen of Rigby, ID; sister, Chris Gerneil of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Shirly Woolf of Idaho Falls, ID; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in the Victor Cemetery.
