Barbara Ann "Bobbie" Adams, 89, of Ammon, passed away January 22, 2018, at her home.
Barbara was born October 26, 1928, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Clemance Authrus Page and Sarah Olive Howard Page. She grew up and attended schools in the area and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. She also attended Beauty School.
On October 16, 1948, she married Fred Adams in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. To this union were born six children, Kendall, Stevan, Robert, Clayton, Drew and Vaughn. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She studied and received her license as a beautician.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings including Den Mother, Primary President, Young Women Leader, Stake Camp Director, Nursery Leader, and Ward Librarian. She was a temple worker and served a mission for the church. She enjoyed painting, quilting, crocheting, and camping & fishing with her family and friends.
Barbara is survived by son, Stevan C. (Julie) Adams of Ammon, ID; son, Robert William (Carolee) Adams of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Clayton C. (Kris) Adams of Bellevue, ID; son, Drew H. (Shawna) Adams of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Vaughn W. Adams of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter-in-law, Wanda Adams (Kendall’s wife) of Rexburg, ID; sister, Jean (Jerry) Campbell of St. George, UT; 26 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Kendall Fred Adams; two grandsons, Clinton Fred Adams and William Fred Adams; five brothers, Howard Page, Max Page, Ray Page, John Page, and Rulon Page; and three sisters, Geneve Page, Lois Walden, and Colleen Page.
At the time of her death, Barbara was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice and the family would like to extend a special thanks to Liz and Jasmine for their kind and loving care.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at the Ammon LDS 32nd Ward (4459 John Adams Parkway) with Bishop Curtis Godfrey officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
