Robert Asa "Bob" Boozer, 86, of Ammon, Idaho, passed away September 17, 2017, at his home, surrounded by his loved ones. He was under the care of his family and Aspen Home Health & Hospice. Bob was born March 16, 1931, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to John Hall Boozer and Dora Alberta Boozer. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He also attended Utah State University in Logan, Utah, where he studied carpentry and finish carpentry. He married Pauline C. Wiemer in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and they were later divorced. On January 8, 1966, he married Christine Rolph in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They made their home in Idaho Falls. Bob owned and managed Boozer Oil Company. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and St. John’s Lutheran Church in Idaho Falls. While living in the Tri-Cities area of Washington from 1995 to 2013, he was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed Bible study, golf, woodworking, traveling, and camping. He was a member of JC’s Exchange Club, the Chamber of Commerce, was Co-Founder of Help, Inc., the Exchange Club Child Abuse Prevention Center. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Christine Boozer of Ammon, ID; son, Robert Asa (Jinny) Boozer, Jr. of Idaho Falls, ID, daughter, Roxanne Lynn Boozer (Richard Draper) of Rigby, ID, daughter, Jackie Yvonne (David) Kupitz of San Jose, CA, son, Kenneth Hall (Lisa Lynn) Boozer of Ammon, ID, son, Karl Ramon Boozer of Idaho Falls, ID, sister, Betty Yates of Denver, CO, sister, Judy (Edward) Shemetta of Kent, WA. 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, John Hall Boozer, and three sisters, Mary Kathryn Boozer, Sherry L. Best, and Janice Lynn Boozer. A Gathering for family and friends will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2017, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, Ammon, ID 83406. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the charity of your choice.
