Bob was born December 3, 1928, in Grey Eagle, Minnesota, to Joyce Worden Perry and Bertha Nelson Perry. Growing up, he attended several schools in Minnesota. His family moved to Ashton, Idaho, when he was a senior in high school. After graduation, he attended Ricks College, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. He attended graduate school at the University of Washington and UCLA. While attending Ricks College, Bob met and married Lavonna Spaulding of Ririe, ID.

Bob enjoyed many outdoor activities, including hiking, climbing, and golf. He hiked extensively in the Teton Range, including climbing the strenuous, high-altitude, forty mile Teton Crest Trail, and climbing the Grand Teton twice.

He was very musically inclined, able to sing and play multiple instruments. While attending Ricks College, Bob played trombone in a dance band.

Bob and Lavonna enjoyed traveling extensively, visiting several dozen countries and sight-seeing through forty-nine states. They were both true adventurers at heart.

Bob is survived by his two daughters, Darla (Max) Howell of St. George, UT; and Cydney (Tom) Wenzel of Boise, ID; and a brother, Jon Perry of Sunnyvale, CA; ten grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lavonna; his parents; three siblings, Beryce Elaine, Louella Ann, and Malcolm; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Wenzel.
