Bobby Ray Claiborne, 77, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away July 11, 2013, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, after a long battle with lung cancer. Bob was born in Jerome, Idaho, on April 18, 1936, to Ezra Ray Claiborne and Evelyn Linnie Bullock Claiborne. He attended school in Jerome and graduated from Twin Falls High School. Bob married Marylyn Christine Herd in Filer, Idaho, on July 12, 1956. They made their home in Idaho Falls where Bob worked at the INL site as a draftsman for thirty years. Bob was a member of the Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, photography, and traveling. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Marylyn, of 57 years; daughters, Deborah (Jeff) Ray of Vancouver, Washington; Darlene (Doug) Pierce of Byron, Minnesota; Grandchildren, Melissa, Luke, Megan, Stephan, Rachel, and Daniel; 8 great grandchildren and 3 on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son who died at birth, and one great grandson, Toby Humborg. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013, at the Filer Cemetery in Filer, Idaho. Services will be led by Pastor Raymond Herd from Rupert, Idaho, and Chester Whiteker from Jerome, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Bob’s name for the purpose of purchasing Gideon Bibles to Eagle Rock Baptist Church, 1080 S Bellin Rd, Idaho Falls, ID 83402. &nbsp Born: April 18, 1936&nbsp Place of Birth: Jerome, ID&nbsp Death: July 11, 2013&nbsp Place of Death: Idaho Falls, ID

Friday July 19, 2013 , 1 p.m. at Filer Cemetery Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013, at the Filer Cemetery in Filer, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Bob's name for the purpose of purchasing Gideon Bibles to Eagle Rock Baptist Church, 1080 S Bellin Rd Idaho Falls, ID 83402.
