BOB L. BRISTOL
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Bob LaVier Bristol, 71, former resident
of Idaho Falls, died September 3, 2004, at his home in Mead, Washington,
where he and his wife have lived for the past seven years.
He was born October 27, 1932, in Bountiful, Utah, to
Arthur George Bristol and Sarah Madsen Bristol. He attended the Gooding
School for the Blind.
He married Joyce Baugh and later divorced. In 1977, he
married his wife of 27 years, Betty Jeanne Bircher Stewart. He worked
at Yellowstone Leather in Idaho Falls for 25 years.
Despite his handicaps, Bob lived life to the fullest.
His hobbies included ham radio, wood working, braille reading, and playing
the harmonica and guitar.
He is survived by
his wife, Betty;
sons, Larry and Steven;
stepsons, Brad, Brian, Barry, Bruce and Brent Stewart;
a brother, Juel Bristol,
4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, his sisters Bonnie
and Anna Rae, and a son, Mark.
Graveside Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday,
September 10, 2004, at the Taylor Cemetery. Arrangements are under the
direction of Wood Funeral Home.
